Semi-DIY School Search Workshop
This workshop was built by people who have spent their careers helping families navigate the most consequential decisions they will make. Here's who you'll be learning from and why we built this.
About Crossbridge
Crossbridge Consulting is a small, highly regarded firm supporting families through some of the most consequential decisions they will ever make: finding the right school, therapeutic program, or educational pathway for a child who needs something different. We are case managers, placement specialists, and trusted advisors. We don't just find options; we find the right fit.
Our team is intentionally small. We keep our client roster limited because the depth of relationship we offer (and the quality of outcomes we deliver) depends on it. Families don't come to Crossbridge for a search engine. They come because they need someone who will know their child, hold their complexity, and stay in their corner through the whole journey. This course is built from that same commitment: the frameworks, the hard-won knowledge, and the honest guidance, organized so you can move through the process with clarity and confidence.

Founder, Crossbridge Consulting · M.Ed.
I've spent the last 25 years helping families navigate the school search: the hopeful moments, the overwhelming ones, and everything in between. When I founded Crossbridge, it was with a simple conviction: families shouldn't have to figure this out alone, and the right school exists for every student, even when it isn't obvious yet.
This course is built from everything I've learned along the way. The frameworks, the hard-won knowledge about how schools actually work and the questions worth asking are all here, organized so you can move through the process with clarity and confidence, at your own pace.
Course Contributor · Ed.D.
I've spent 22 years in classrooms from kindergarten through college, with a particular focus on the middle and high school years where so much of the school search conversation actually lives. I'm a special education certified teacher, a current college professor, and someone who has spent my career sitting with students at the exact moment when the right support makes all the difference.
What I know from the inside (how schools think about learning differences, what an IEP actually does and doesn't accomplish, and where the gaps tend to appear) is the kind of knowledge that's hard to find and harder to fake. I'm here because this process is more navigable when someone who knows the system is in your corner.
